Hi! I’m Mary

First and foremost, I am a Child of the One True God. I am the mother of two sons on Earth and two babies in Heaven. My husband and I were high school sweethearts and have been together for over 40 years. Joyfully, I am the "Moppy" to one. I have two bonus children whom I could not imagine a time without.

In the classroom, I am known as Dr. Lowrey or Ms. Lowrey.  I have seen the faces of over 3,000 students and love each dearly. I have watched "my kids" grow and become doctors, lawyers, dental hygienists, machinists, military veterans, nurses, secretaries, mechanics, teachers, and a hundred other professions. They have become mothers and fathers.  I have taught their children. Happily, I have witnessed their marriages. Sadly, I have attended the services of those who are now in the arms of Jesus.

The journey to this time, this event, and this decision to become a blogger was one of prayer and thoughtful consideration.  Would anyone want to read a blog? Does anyone care what an 60-year-old woman has to say about being a Christian, a woman of God, a mother, a grandmother, a teacher, friend, and the servant of God? God does care! I feel his leading in this direction and I have learned, that when He speaks, I will listen.  I do not want to end up in the "belly of a whale" again.  Been there! Done that! (metaphorically speaking).  So, with trepidation, I begin this journey and welcome you into my life.
