Disappointments…4-15-25

Romans 8:28, “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”. Sometimes things we want, we don’t get. Recently, I prayed about a situation. I prayed that God would open doors if this was in His will and close them if it was not.

You see, I have learned throughout life that my purpose and my disappointments are all in His hands. I have learned that disappointments will come, but God will always, always lead me in the direction of His purpose.

Psalm 42:11 says, “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.“. When we are disappointed or discouraged, if we look to Him and remember His mercy, we can praise Him. Am I disappointed? Yes! Am I downcast and distraught? Absolutely not! 2 Timothy 1:12, “…For I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that Day.” I am still singing.
