My Vulnerability…

I made a comment in front of a good friend, "I worry about if I'm wanted as part of …?" She said, "That's your vulnerability. “ Wow! There it is, that mouth open, just hit me, why couldn't I see that, Wow! What is my vulnerability, my self-worth. I know where it stems from. I know when it began, and I know who is in control of that feeling. The devil tells me that I am not worthy. In truth, we are all unworthy. There is none worthy. Romans 3:10, "As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one;"
You see, we alone are not worthy. But God counts our worth. We are wonderfully made, Psalms 139:14. We are His children. He uses our weaknesses for His glory. 2 Corinthians 12:9, “But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
My husband and I have attended church since long before our marriage. I have never been a Bible Study teacher. I wouldn’t have done that before. I didn’t trust God to use me. I had so much self doubt and lacked understanding that it is God who gives the words and fulfills His purpose through us. I went to a few conferences, but would have never freely and openly gone to classses without having someone beside me holding my hand so to speak. I lacked the courage.
In my very frequent moments of self doubt, I see 2 Timothy 1:7 so clearly. “For the Spirit of God does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.”
I have no problem telling anyone it is not my voice, but God’s. He deserves all the glory. Without Him, I am nothing. I am that pumpkin, a hollowed inside waiting to be filled with His glory, His love, His grace, and His mercy.
Why this? With all the “I “ words here, it sounds boastful, prideful. Read the second part of 2 Corinthians 12:9, “Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” I fully know and pray continually that always God, Only Jesus, and that I am led by the Spirit.
Psalm 20:6-7, “Now this I know: The Lord gives victory to His anointed. He answers him from His heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of His right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God,”
