Prayer Posse…4-13-25

Our Women’s Bible Study is in the middle of Jennifer Rothschild’s, Take Courage, A Study of Haggai. During this study, we talked about a “Prayer Posse”. Matthew 18:20, For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

You see, when we pray for each other, we are gathering. Our hearts and prayers are joining to petition to God for assistance on the behalf of others, James 5:16, “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

Do you have a prayer posse? Do you have those who you can call on in any situation? I have had a prayer partner for 43 years. It is a humbling feeling to know that I can ask for any prayer, even to help me sleep, and my partner is petitioning on my behalf. I now have that larger prayer posse from these women and others at church. That is why God directs us in “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.“ Hebrews 10:25. Pray for each other for strength, healing, struggles, loved ones needs, and most of all salvation. Be a Prayer Posse.
