1 + 1 + 1…10-16-25

My grandson loves math. I would love to say he gets that from me, but I have a love-hate relationship with math. I love data, data analysis, statistics, and variations in change within real world contexts. My dissertation was a mixed methods study with 85 tables and charts. I know, it was a bit overkill. His dad was so good in math, but almost didn’t graduate because he wouldn’t do his assignments. We can laugh about that now as he is a machinist and heavily immersed in measurements and calibration.

I awoke about 2 this morning and couldn’t go back to sleep. I had something heavy on my heart. Actually, more than one thing really. One burden has been attached to my side for almost 13 years, another for 16, and a third for nearly 10. I have learned when peace is hard to find, that I turn to Math.

You see 1-God + 1-Holy Spirit + 1-Son (Jesus) = The One. I cry out to God and thank Him for sending His son to wash away my sins. I listen to the Holy Spirit as it directs me to pray. I go to my Savior who laid down His life because He loved me. I am important to Him. He knows me. My burdens matter and He gladly bears them. I give Him these burdens again. I lay them at His feet, again. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

In John 14:16-17, Jesus says these precious words, “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever, the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.” This is why I know 1 + 1 + 1 =The One. Jesus said it.
