Law…10-1-25

Law of Unintended Consequences is basically the idea that the actions of people invariably lead to outcomes that are not a part of their original plans and are unforeseen. These circumstances often come with new and sometimes more challenging problems.

It occurs to me that there really is no unintended consequence. Every single moment has been planned. Psalm 90:10, “Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God”.

I believe that every footstep has an ordained path. I do not believe it is unintended. God knows which path we will take. He knows what will happen. I firmly believe that nothing is a surprise. One of my favorite scripture passages is Psalm 139.

“1. O Lord, you have searched me and known me!

2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar.

3 You search out my path and my lying down

and are acquainted with all my ways.

4 Even before a word is on my tongue,

behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.

5 You hem me in, behind and before,

and lay your hand upon me.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;

it is high; I cannot attain it.

7 Where shall I go from your Spirit?

Or where shall I flee from your presence?“

You see, nothing is hidden that will not be known. There is nothing that is completed that He doesn’t cover with His hands. There is no action that God is unaware of. We cannot run or hide from Him. He is in control. He is without a doubt over my life. I am comforted in that alone.
