Difficult Days…

Matthew 11:28, ““Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” When I have difficult days, I go to God. I pray. I seek His grace and mercy. When those I love have difficult days, I do the same. The only difference is, I cannot “fix” the issue for others. I really can’t fix the issue for me, but even more, I can’t do that for those I love. Oh, I try. There lies the problem and truth. That isn’t up to me. That isn’t what God wants me to do. He wants me to go to Him and trust that He has control.
You see, since I was young, I felt like I had to be the one to do this. I was glue. I kept it all together, or so I thought. I was, and still try to be, a “fixer”, “people pleaser”, “worker bee”, and “giver”. That has been my downfall as I am frequently reminded by God that I am not, and have never been, in control. I have to trust Him. Sometimes, my head is hard. There will always be someone I love with difficult days. I am just asked to pray, not fix! Philippians 4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
