Everything In Life…7-3-25

On June 30th, my blog included the verse from Ecclesiastes 3:2, “a time to be born and a time to die”. My sister who passed away in January was anticipating her first great-grandchild in July. When I was writing that blog, I thought of her. I had no idea that very afternoon her great-granddaughter would be born. She makes my second great-great-niece within a month. I’m excited to meet them both.

The baby in the picture above is my grandson. He was born on another sister’s birthday. She passed away about 10 years before he was born. It is no coincidence that he was born on her birthday. It is no coincidence that my great-niece had her sweet baby when she did. There are so many moments for so many people all at once. My moments are intermingled with others like a puzzle all culminating in a beautiful masterpiece.

My husband loves to give me inspiration for my blogs. He will often say something, then look at me. I will more often say ,No, I’m not putting that in the blog.” But occasionally, I will quickly write it down so I don’t forget. Last night was one of those times. He said, “Everything in life is a teaching moment. Sometimes you learn the easy way and sometimes you learn the hard way, but everything is a teaching moment.”

Yes, he is absolutely correct. Everything is orchestrated for us to learn and grow. Nothing is by coincidence. God truly is the designer of all things. Proverbs 16:33 reads, "The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord."

You see, I firmly believe that every single moment is God’s plan. We are provided lessons in which to learn, grow, develop, and mature. Sometimes, we easily accept the teaching moments, and understand the significance of those moments within our lives. At other times, we learn the hard way. We are human and sometimes our desires and wants are not aligned with what God desires for us. Ephesians 1:11 says that "He works all things after the counsel of His will." I know that there is significance in each moment. I know I am constantly praying to be in His will. I know that each moment is inspired by God. For that knowledge, I am forever grateful.
