Seen…7-28-25

When I started this blog, I knew it was God-led. I knew it was something that was important. I didn’t realize how important.

A few friends and I were talking after church last night. There is no retired in the Bible. We are not “too old” and it is time to step back and let others. We all have a commission. Mark 16:15, “And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”

You see, our commission to spread the gospel is not limited to how busy we are, whether we work, how many children, our careers, or our own desires. Our commission is to spread the gospel. Spreading the gospel and serving doesn’t have to mean we are going to other countries physically. It is also using our gifts or talents and allowing others to see God in us. When we are truly seen, others will want to know what we have. The gospel is spread through our lives.

I have truly allowed myself to be seen through this blog. The realities of life, my past, my fears, and my future. To be authentically seen, means to open up and let others see the mistakes and God’s grace. It means the hurt, the lessons, the pain is bared and what God can do is exposed. That has become my way to spread the Gospel. On the internet, shared to all, freely available, and openly accessible. Yes, I can serve and will spread the gospel in other ways. But this is how I am following the commission in my life. 1 Peter 4:10, “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.”

Do I desire more to read and see how God can bless even the messiest of messes?Absolutely! I want to share to the world what my God can and has done. I want my grandson and family to know that they have God’s love and protection in all circumstances.

In every situation, God sees us. Our “Hooty” can see up to half a mile, and has up to a 100 times better vision at night. He sees things other animals cannot see. God sees things, we cannot see. What I initially saw as meant to just be a book for my grandson at the end of the year, God saw as a ministry. I love the way God uses each gift to spread His word. We are seen!
