Walking In His Shadow…

I heard the story of the gentleman who shared this photo. He said he was raising a triplet lamb. It was young, needed bottle feeding, and had become quite attached. He was walking to his mail box one day, and felt the presence of something behind him. He turned to see the lamb following him. He went a little further and turned. The lamb was still behind. He stopped and thought for a minute. He continued, but stepped to the right, the lamb stepped over behind him. He then stepped to the left, and the lamb stepped over behind him again. Each time he moved from the left to the right, the lamb moved over directly behind him. He realized the lamb was staying in His shadow covering himself in perceived protection.
Psalm 91:1, “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”. You see, in His shadow, I am sheltered. I am protected. When I step out of His shadow, I am exposed. I am openly laying myself bare for all harm. In His shadow, I am guarded and secured. Psalm 118:6, “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do unto me?”
I realize there will be adversities. I accept the hard. I am learning to open my hand to freely accept and acknowledge all His graces. I am finding my blessings in each trial. I crave the assurance of His presence and protection. I want to be in His will and forever held.
