Heavens Above…

Yesterday, was one of those rare days that I had a couple of hours before appointments, etc. I sat in my spot watching the sun peek in and out between and through clouds while reading and studying the lesson for Sunday night Women’s Bible Study Group. Looking to the east, I raised my face intermittently to feel the warmth and bright light parting the clouds. Oh, what a day that will be.
Matthew 24:27 says, “For as the lightning cometh out of the east and shineth even unto the west, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.” When lightening flashes, the image is one of a rod splitting into two pieces the sky through which it moves. The Lord’s return will be brilliant and unimaginable. I do like to visualize the brilliance of that moment, and my heart longs for His return.
Sitting on my porch, reading His words, and seeing the light, I can feel His presence so real. I am at peace. Peace isn’t a matter of all things joyous, it is a matter of joy through all things. Isaiah 26:3, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you"
