Israel…10-7-25

Today marks the second anniversary of the unfathomable massacre in Israel that took the lives of almost 1200 men, women, and children. Almost 300 were taken hostage. Who did this? The answer is one word, EVIL!

As I listened to the retelling and watched the videos this morning of the events that occurred during the attack, my heart aches for the people, families, and country. As Christians, we recognize the significance this small country has within our scriptures and when the Lord comes again. I also know that the love for humanity God cements within us grieves for those who are suffering.

This isn’t political. This is humanity. This is life. This is God’s chosen people. Zechariah 1:16, "Therefore this is what the LORD says: 'I will return to Jerusalem with mercy, and there My house will be rebuilt, declares the LORD of Hosts, and a measuring line will be stretched out over Jerusalem'". Revelations gives a detailed account of Christ’s return in Chapter 19.

All I know in my heart is that I stand with Israel. I stand with God’s people. I grieve with all Christians over the evil that has entered our world. I know my Lord will comfort those who are suffering and grieving. He will continue to hold them in His hands.
