Living Each Day Arms Wide Open…

Our grandson decided he wanted to go fishing. My husband, ever The Papa, came home to take him. He patiently put a new hook and bobber on his pole, found the worms, and took him to the pond. First catch, a small bass, then four more, brim. Happiness and contentment, along with tacos later, found them both relaxing when I came home.
Over the past years, I have learned to live my life each day with arms wide open. Arms that are forever receptive of the blessings God gives. I have an intentionality that borders on obsessive desire to understand and acknowledge that God is good in all things. I can and have, over the last decade, craved more of His spirit within me. I make and take every opportunity to see His goodness.
Psalm 16:11 states, “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Fully grasping the path God has for us is indeed living each moment of each day with our arms open. God dictates our path. He leads us beside every stream, rough or smooth. He makes our paths straight, if we keep our eyes on Him. That has been my prayer, “Dear Lord, open my eyes that I may see.” I want to see clearly everything He is giving. I want to see and grasp each moment. I want to live fully in Him.
