Prayer Warriors…

My heart tells me to pray, always! When I am having a bad day, I pray. When my grandson is struggling, I pray. When my husband is caught between his proverbial rock and a hard place, I pray. So last Friday when my grandson told me he wanted to go homeschool, in the 4th grade, I prayed. Not only did I pray, I talked to him about praying, and I elicited prayer warriors. Ephesians 6:18, “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
After praying about the situation alongside fellow prayer warriors, with consent from my daughter-in-law, I reached out to his principal and teacher via email. The principal was great and talked with my grandson that day. She also talked with my daughter-in-law that evening. The situation is being addressed. She then responded back to my email yesterday. I picked up my grandson from school on Wednesday. He had a good day. He also had a good day today. For only the third day in 3 weeks, he talked about who he played with. I know that the devil will be back in this, but I also know that prayer is the answer to any situation, especially this. I asked him if he still wanted to quit, and he said, “No”. That is a blessing. There will be ups and downs. But, praise the Lord, and I give God all the glory, he is playing with other kids and is more at ease.
Philippians 4:6-7 states, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Leaving anything at the Lord’s feet, and not picking it back up again, has always been hard for me. I had no control in my situation growing up, so I feel as if I need that control now. I am learning to trust God’s will and word. I am learning to have peace in situations where I would at one time lay awake at night and worry. I have learned to call on God, and then call on his people. I pray my grandson will not take as long as I have to learn these things.
