Pumpkin pie is one of my favorite desserts. I love making this pie. I touted today that it so easy to make. Well, I should know better than that. I began cooking my husband dinner, making dressing for tomorrow, getting other items ready, and making my pumpkin pie. In my haste, I forgot one key ingredient. I forgot the binder for the pie, the eggs.

Now if you have read any of these blogs, you know where I’m going here. A pumpkin pie with no eggs has the consistency of pumpkin soup. A great taste, but not the texture, loose, and all over the place. Kind of how I am without my Savior. Kind of how I am when I try to follow my own path or rush ahead and not let God lead me in all things. I will strive to be diligent, binding my faith in Him and His word. "Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart." Proverbs 3:3.
