"He sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God; and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him prosper." 2 Chronicles 26:5. We have all had many failures in life. We look at others, especially Christian friends, and it doesn't seem like they ever have failures, only success. Outward looking in is always better than being on the inside looking out when it comes to failures. Like most Christians, I have had more failures than successes in my life. A few have been catastrophic failures, some big at the moment or for a time, but most have been small and what would seem insignificant to others.
What is my point? It isn’t the failures and successes that identify us, it is the attitude and faith. Proverbs 24:16, "For the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity". Me, I’m always failing, but.., and I say, But God…I have learned to get up and try again. Whether it is making bread, changing careers, finances, relationships, or service to the Lord, I have learned through my adversities as a younger person and through my walk with God that my Faith and my attitude in every situation is what matters, I refuse to make excuses for not picking back up and trying again. I love the song “Overcomer”. Christians are overcomers through Christ.
