Through Our Eyes...

When students draw for me, it is precious. When they draw for themselves, it is even more meaningful. Recently a genetic trait activity required the students to draw on a blank outline the traits that they inherited. This young lady drew what she had inherited through her eyes. Wow, what a beautiful image of glimpses into a soul.
1 Peter 1:4, "To an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you,".
When I think about my inheritance, I think about the promises of an eternity in Heaven. The sacrifice my Heavenly Father made and the promise I have in Ephesians 1:11, "In Him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,". As I've stated before, my father-in-law's favorite verse was in John 14. I will have a home in Heaven. I will have my Father's eyes. But most of all, I will always have my Father's heart.
