True Identity 9-25-25
True Identity 9-25-25

Dr. Marcus Warner says that, “True identity is who we are when we are living with joy”. My definition of Joy is what we experience when we are truly centered in God’s will, in an intimate relationship with Him, and freely accepting and acknowledging of His goodness and mercies. “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” – Psalm 16:11 (ESV)

As I watched my grandson play in the dirt, he reminded me of outward and inward joy. He sang loudly and proudly as he scooped up handfuls of newly turned dirt, and threw it into the hole that had filled with water. His voice rose above the backhoe noise, the fire crackling in the distance from a brush pile, and the cows mooing by the pen. His joy so easily displayed in the simple task of moving dirt. His inward joy bubbling forth from his lips as he sang.

I know he is wonderfully made. I know there is joy in life. I know Satan cannot steal my joy.
