Turn Around…9-19-25

Many days throughout the last 43 years have been difficult. There have been potholes, smoothly paved asphalt, and deep ditches. There have been instances of others interceding to separate us, destruction of my own doing, and the same of his. Whatever the season and whatever the circumstances, we have been in this for the long haul.

Joel 2:12, ““Even now,” declares the Lord “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.” When we decided to marry, we turned our marriage over to God. There have been instances of wavering unfaithful in my trust that I am good enough. However, we knew that we would always be under the protection of God. As my husband said today, “When it gets bad, before it gets that bad, turn around.” He was so right. Turn around! Turn back around to God from wherever you have gone, and He will heal. He will forgive.

No, we are not having issues. We were discussing some others that we know. But that made me think. Any situation, any issue, any problem that we have is not too big or too far out of the reach of a God who just wants us to Turn to Him.

I remember when I didn’t have the faith that I have now in God and in him. I doubted love from everyone and everybody. But, oh my, the love God has for me. He has shown me how much my husband, family, but more than any, God cares for me. I will always turn around and put my trust in Him.
