Two Competing Views…10-21-25

Young and old, large and small, quiet and rambunctious, short and tall, seasoned and inexperienced, serious and carefree. One is weathered and worn, the other is innocent and untouched. Each person unique, each person valued, and each person fully alive.

You see they have such contrast, such stark differences, and their views are miles apart. One is seasoned by the experiences of the world, and the other is ready to experience all that the world has to offer. Yet, these two represent the best parts of all God gives. All the grace, mercy, love, kindness, discipline, and correction. They represent the most beautiful part of what the world has to offer.

The Psalmist writes in 148:13, "Let them praise the name of the LORD, for His name alone is exalted; His splendor is above the earth and the heavens". Every part of creation praises Him. These two may have competing views of most things, but the praise is binding. The most perfect of gifts, God’s son-Jesus, binds them together in love. They have the true meaning of life, of joy, and of peace. In the midst of a chaotic world with very opposing views, they are bound by spiritual understanding of God. Colossians 3:14: "And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity".
