Chunky Like Yesterday’s Soup

I must admit when this saying came to me and I knew it was time to blog, I didn’t know where God was going with this one. Still not real sure, but here goes.
My grandson’s cat finds comfort in my grandson and husband, more my husband as he is always around during the morning and night in his favorite spot. The cat comes to me for food. I noticed this morning as my husband gave him the rest of his can that he is now eating more (He is a He) and chunking up. The words began to flow. Why now? What is the message?
You see, when food is left, set out, undone, unfinished, or not cared for, it becomes dense, thick, and spoils. Our lives are the same way. When we leave important key aspects undone, not cared for, and set aside, we neglect them and they begin to spoil or rot. Our Christian walk is the most precious, beautiful, and important example I can think of that we neglect or ignore. Reading our Bible, studying God’s word, fellowship with other believers, and most importantly prayer to our loving Father keeps our lives from hardening, cooling, and yes, thickening as yesterday’s soup. I get it now God, thank you from Whom all blessings flow, even thick soup.
Revelations 3:15-15, “
“‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.”
