My grandson and I make a gingerbread house together each year. This is our 9th year. We have made traditional houses, dog houses with the dog and bone, Santa train, and cabins. This year is a pyramid house. We started late last night.
So far the sides are staying together with the kit icing. The icing holding as glue. You see, we have a running joke about the actual glue used on many of our houses. I have used everything from wood glue, school glue, super glue, gorilla glue, and craft glue. Wood glue held better than all the others. My grandson looks forward to this process.
It never ceases to amaze me how God works in the simplest of situations. Take for example, the glue. We can, and do, try every way possible to put things together. However, without Christ as our glue nothing holds. We will, at some point, fall apart. We will be prostate crying out to God for His mercy, if we know Him. If we don’t, we will continue to struggle to put our life together and fail. He is our glue. Colossians 1:17, “He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”
