God’s Earth…

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it" Psalm 24:1. As I ride along looking at the landscape surrounding us, it occurs to me that people are like the scenery. Some are tall and strong like the mighty trees in the west. Some are wavering like the ocean as it tumbles to the shore and retreats back quickly. Others are barren like the desert, void of what many would see as fruits. Each person, each individual carving out the path God created for them. Each individual, if they are allowing God to lead, are drawn where He sends them seeking His direction. The roads twist and turn like the highways through each place. The people, like the place they have been born to, moving about quickly seeking their destination.
You see, what so many people do not understand and do not acknowledge is that those directions are the same, they are all pointing to a destination of Heaven. Each person, each individual, is moving toward Him. In the end, the place may look as vastly different as the ocean and the desert, the wastelands, mountains, and forests, as varied as the cactus and the sequoia. But God..but God has directed their steps. He has built the highways and He is leading them to His glory. Everywhere I look, “I see the work of Your hands. Galaxies spin in a Heavenly dance, oh God, All that You are is so overwhelming. I hear the sound of Your voice. All at once it’s a gentle and thundering noise oh God. All that You are is so overwhelming.” Big Daddy Weave.
