Life Is Easy

Life is easy...8-8-25

My husband and I were on our front porch, drinking our coffee, watching the day come to life. My husband said, "Life is easy, if you let it." There are so many times in life where we make life hard. We worry, we plan, we have interferences that come, and we procrastinate. All the things that make life hard.

This bird sits quietly. It waits patiently for the food that nourishes and feeds it's body. For the bird, life is not always easy. The bird knows one thing that many of us don't know. The bird knows where to look for the nourishment. It waits patiently and is guided by changes, patterns, and through understanding. Understanding only provided by the direction of God.

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4) Our spiritual nourishment comes from God. John 6:35, "Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.".

You see, I think life will not always be easy, but life can be easier if we let it. By being fed by God, by understanding where our nourishment comes from, and allowing Him to lead us through His word, life is easier. We are allowing Him full control. In that release, our anxiety, fear, doubt, and struggles are lessened and life becomes our future. John 4:34, "Then Jesus explained: “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work." I seek Jesus as my nourishment, just as He sought His Father.
