Light In The Darkness...1-19-26
Light In The Darkness...1-19-26

My grandson needs a light in order to sleep. He sleeps with a nightlight at home and LED strip lights at my house in his room. His prayer always includes one particular phrase to God, "Don't let Satan enter this house or in this room.". Even at 10, he understands the darkness. He understands who brings evil. Ephesians 6:12, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenlyplaces."

But, my grandson also understands who is the Light of the world. John 8:12, ""I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." As the light chases away shadows, our Savior shines His light and provides a path for us. When we accept Jesus as Lord of our life, He gives us the everlasting knowledge that we do not need to fear darkness. Psalm 27:1, "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"
