Little Boy Antics…12-22-25
Little Boy Antics…12-22-25

Our grandson is with us quite often. He is full of energy. Yesterday, he came to spend the night after being at his maternal great-grandmother’s for their family Christmas gathering. Hiding behind doors to scare me, tooting where I could smell (he is an almost 10 year old boy), and asks a million questions. All expected, all welcomed.

When we lay down for bed, our routine is something I treasure. We pray, first he does, and then I do. We tell “ghost stories”, which aren’t ghost stories at all. Then we go through a routine with his blanket and covering with ‘Moppy, are you sad?” This ends up with him covered from nose to toes and “Moppy, are you happy now?” I laugh, as I type this, because I get up early and the 3-D dragon was in the middle of our puzzle. Reminders, blessedly, my grandson is here and joyous.

You see, God has given me these precious moments to reflect on His goodness, His grace, and His forgiveness. Lamentations 3:21-23 says, "This I call to mind, and therefore have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." I know He is good and faithful because He has proven this to me throughout my life. He has shown me time and time again that He is in control. I have only to be still and wait.
