Support Force...

In Physical Science, I teach forces. There is a type of a force called Normal Force and basically that means this is the force that supports an object. This force completely balances the object, or in other words, supports the object to keep it from falling through.
A couple of weeks ago our Women's Bible Study talked about being the person someone can call on when they are in need. This could mean prayers, someone to talk to, a voice that just says "Hello" and listens, or provides a need that we might have.
In our Wednesday Bible Study, one of our deacons provided the lesson. Typically when our pastor is out of town, one of the deacons will step up and preach or lead the Bible Study on Sunday or Wednesday night. This particular deacon happens to be my nephew. He talked about supporting each other. It is not lost on me, nor is it a coincidence that God sends reinforcements to discussions, Sunday School lessons, Bible Studies, personal discussions, or conversations to lead me in a specific direction. He reinforces lessons and things He wants us to understand in simple ways through others and through events. Sometimes one lesson from one class will evolve into another lesson from another class. Sometimes, I'll hear a song that describes what a friend and I have just talked about. The words I have been discussing with my husband are used in sermons. A scripture that I've read is present in a lesson. This is no coincidence. This is God. He constantly directs us for our good and His glory.
God is our normal force. He is our support force. He holds us, directs us, and helps us. Isaiah 41:10, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
