Waiting on the Lord
Waiting on the Lord

I waited until the evening to write my blog today for a couple of different reasons. I have been patiently waiting on the Lord to reveal the topic. I know this may seem odd to some, but I want this blog to be led and directed by the Lord. So I waited. Today was a busy day at work. Sometimes I have time to think about other things, but today wasn't one of those days. In four classes, the students had a lab and that is always a busy day. In one class, we are in the process of completing a timeline on the Reconstruction Era. In the other two classes, the students are working on a webquest. In between and around all this, I'm meeting with students to obtain missing work in order to finalize interim grades. I rushed home to take off my soup and meet my husband, who made cornbread, to take these to a friend who broke her ankle and had surgery.

Now I sit, finally! Blog open and writing. Psalms 27:13-14 says, "I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD." I read that waiting on God is not a passive act. It is very much active. We must be patient, be still, and know, or have faith, that God will answer. We must realize that it is, along with everything under the heavens, in God's time. I am confidant that God will, in His wisdom, give to us or direct us in what is good for us. At this point you may be thinking, "She has nothing for today!". Actually you would be incorrect. I do have a blog for today. It is called "Waiting on the Lord...", and that's what he wants me to acknowledge today. So I sit. "The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.”. Lamentations 3:25.
