A Woman's Faith...6-23-25

I had the honor of giving a devotional at our Women's Fiesta and Fellowship last night. I stood in front of 25 women from our church who gathered to fellowship and eat together. We are often pulled in so many directions that it is hard to find time to sit and just share with each other.

I had prayed throughout the week about the devotional God wanted shared. 2 Timothy it was. "I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also." 2 Timothy 1:5.

Paul was imprisoned in Rome. This letter is written to Timothy asking him to come to him. Paul reminds Timothy of the faith that was instilled in him through the diligent teaching of his mother and grandmother.

You see, Timothy's mother, Eunice, also had a woman of faith in her life, her mother, Lois. These ladies tonight are my women of faith. I am strengthened by their example. We each have those women in our lives. Some of those women are mothers, sisters, friends, aunts, and the ladies in our church. I see their actions in church, and I also see those same actions in their life. I see their desire to serve Him.

I raised my sons to love the Lord. I want them to know that I pray for their faith daily. I pray for my grandson's faith to be strengthened as well. As 2 Timothy 1:12 reads, "...for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day." My sons are grown. I committed their life to Him. I know what I have prayed for will one day come to light. I know those prayers will be answered. I know because I too am a woman of faith.
