My grandson has looked forward to Kidz Kamp all year. He was able to go for the first time last year, had an amazing time, and couldn’t wait to go back. We initially had 17 children this year, completing 2nd grade through 6th grade. The first night, one ended up homesick and went home at midnight. The first day, I was able to get off in time to go out with the kids, get set up, worship with them, and went home by 10ish. The second day didn’t work out that way. I ended up rushing to get there by worship. The last day, I was there by 1:00 for the duration.

You see, it isn’t about when you serve, it is about how you serve. The attitude of the heart. The spirit leading and your soul responding. Colossians 3:23: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”

Each night, the song leader asked the adults to quietly listen as the children sang. Oh, my soul was filled with the sweet voices raised in unison. My grandson and others raising their voices high to praise God. I love to stop, even at church, close my eyes, and let the Spirit wash over me renewing me. Those voices are only a glimpse of the singing and rejoicing in Heaven. Can you imagine? Revelation 19:1, “I heard a sound like massed choirs in Heaven singing, Hallelujah! The salvation and glory and power are God's”
